Would that make what happened to him OK? Would that excuse his murder, since the assault on video was fully capable of killing him?

"Racist" is a term without fixed meaning which can be used at any time by any revolutionary to apply to anyone, including you.

Once you frame your response to a murderous assault as "but you didn't prove he was racist" you grant these revolutionaries the right to kill anyone of their choosing once they believe, morally, that the victim was "racist".
