Parents of students who attend Rutherford County Schools (RCS) must agree not to monitor their childs online classroom sessions.
Officials at all county schools are asking parents to sign forms agreeing not to watch these virtual classes.
The Tennessee Star received a copy of such a form this week.
RCS strives to present these opportunities in a secure format that protects student privacy to the greatest extent possible, however because these meetings will occur virtually RCS is limited in its ability to fully control certain factors such as non-student observers that may be present in the home of a student participating in the virtual meeting, according to the form.
RCS strongly discourages non student observation of online meetings due to the potential of confidential information about a student being revealed.
The form asks parents for their signature and warns that violation of this agreement may result in RCS removing my child from the virtual meeting.
RCS spokesman James Evans addressed the matter in an email to The Star this week.

Some freak on Twitter was whining about parents overhearing the indoctrination that had previously been safely hidden behind schoolroom walls.
Many interesting things are being learned here.
Nope.
Id watch more than ever now.
Solution: Give the kids code names and use symbols for their face on the screen.. Then everyone can listen in.
This does not sound good.
The answer is — No.
“Id watch more than ever now.”
Exactly right! What are they trying to get away with that they don’t want the parents knowing about?
They don’t want them listening to the LGBTQ history curriculum K-12 mandated this year in some states . . .not to mention the sex ed curriculum.
Make the school administrators defend their action.
PS. . .if more parents had visited classrooms in the past, we wouldn’t be in this mess.
They don’t want parents to know what kind of indoctrination their children are receiving.
That alone should be a Red Flag Warning to any parent.
What don’t you want them to see?
So what happens if the parent doesn’t sign the form - the kid goes on double secret probation? The parent doesn’t get a gold star?
I would think any responsible parent who got such a notice would be inspired to watch the class consistently, even if they hadn’t been inclined to do so before.
.
DEFUND LEFTIST INDOCTRINATION SYSTEM
.
Especially for those who PAY for the schools, taxpayers.
The very idea that parents are admonished not to watch their kids’ classes is an outrage.
Public schools are public. Teachers do not have a right to privacy regarding what they teach our children, just as it is a violation of parents’ rights to HIDE what they teach our children.
It is also a violation of parents’ rights for teachers to ask children everything from their faith to their family structure in the name of better educating/taking care of them.
Hell, the Chinese government is recording them already.
