Democrats “do not support defunding the police,” DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa insisted Wednesday on “America’s Newsroom.”
“The campaign has been very clear when it comes to defunding the police,” Hinojosa said the morning after the second night of the Democratic National Convention. “They do not support defunding the police and I don’t know how many times we have to say this on this network or others, but that is the case.”
Hinojosa made the comment reacting to an op-ed written by Jason Riley, a member of The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, titled, “Will the Real Kamala Harris Please Stand Up?”

For weeks this issue of “defunding the police” was front and center and the dems said little about it. Therefore they support it.
It was not a lie, it was a terminological inexactitude.
And none of them ran on de-funding, but now that they are in charge they’re sure set on making changes.
Now that a bunch of Democratic mayors are doing it, DNC silence (failure to attack those mayors) is violence.
They own every crime that is happening in those cities.
Ah yes.....and the old watergate favourite... it was at variance with the facts.

The Democrats lie. All the time. And they are good at it. Don't believe it? Look at the election results. The M.O. of the Democrat Party is Lies, Deceit, and Treachery.
Heh....from the sound of it, "defunding the police" broke the needle on the DNC's "which way is the political wind blowing" gauge.
Polling on defunding the police must be on a sharp downward trend for the sudden political reversal.
Democrats were never, ever going to defund the police.
It will never happen.
It’s their source of power and favor.
Many conservatives used to want it, but they turned on a dime when they saw the commies wanted it too.
It’s a shame. We have twice as many cops as we need for a free society. And the ones we have will not enforce property crime.
The people have no use whatsoever for police that won’t enforce property crimes.

By the same token I do not support the sudden, untimely demise of all Demagogic Party politicians.
