I wish I didn’t believe it, but...that is how Leftists deal with it...
I fully believe that their military is inferior in quality of training (our ship collisions notwithstanding) doctrine, and tactics, but I fully expect they will have some hardware that will be very good, and they are likely to have lots of it with all the cash they have been rolling in.
And that volume of quality hardware and their dependence on their own country for their own supply chain in many manufacturing areas brings a quality all its own with it that I hope we don’’t discount.

Turkey is a great concern to me also. They have been exposed to western thought and culture both as a longtime “ally”, but also because in their past, their culture was forcibly exposed to Western thought by Ataturk who had a goal of building a modern, progressive and secular nation-state.
To a degree, he had succeeded, but they have since been backsliding into Islam, and I worry that the combination of those two things may create an unusual enemy for the West.
