The NBA and MLB, two of the nation’s biggest pro sports, have returned to TV after the COVID-19 hiatus. However, their ratings show that fans just aren’t all that interested in the new, woke version of the leagues.
Both basketball and baseball hit screens this summer filled with paeans to Black Lives Matter: Protests during the national anthem, and an avalanche of sloganeering on signs, stadium floors and fields, and on player jersey backs. Along with the intrusion of this political activism on TV during the games, the two leagues have literally blasted social media with one woke proclamation after another.
For weeks ahead of the debut of the shortened 2020 seasons, NBA and MLB sports reporters brayed about how “important” the leagues’ returns were and insisted that fans were “hungry” for sports.

Fans are interested in sports. They can get virtue signaling anywhere. Why waste a couple of hours in front of a tv set?
At the end of the 2020 MLB season, I can see owners meeting up and trying imagine how the 2021 season will work. Contracts offered for free-agents? I think they will be almost non-existent until April of 2021, and it’s possible (if vaccines are a dud)...no significant players get signed up.
In general: the only way Biden/Harris wins is if the mass mail-in voter fraud attempts succeed.
Which I pray by the grace of God, they won’t.

Every since the kneeling started I watched less & less sports. Really only cared for football & NASCAR. Minor league baseball was fun. But all this woke nonsense and disrespect for our flag, our country, our national anthem.. I am so done with it all.
Now I make fun of people who mention it, ask them if they are part of the 6 people still watching, ridicule it, demean it. Whatever I can do to make them feel like complete and utter morons for still wasting their life on something so stupid and meaningless.
[All professional sports were just hype anyway, no real value and countless hours wasted watching TV. Of course the mindlessness was part of the whole deal, and a pleasant escape for a few hours from reality.]
Truth. I got tired of every sports pile of goods in the grocery stores, too. I do not worship these sports people.

How many hours of life have WE wasted on being programmed. (#me too) I haven’t watched any teeeveee in 8+ years. It’s YOUR life. The win/loss, home team/opponent, red pill/blue pill, redstate/bluestate keep you divided psychologically. Don’t get me wrong...athletes work hard...and you can relive your days of playing sports...probably in the best shape of your life. When enjoying their hard-worked efforts is attached with a programming message...well then it’s something different. I stopped watching pro football after the vaunted “wardrobe malfunction”. I sent the NFL an email back in the day. It was easy because the Detroit Lions also sucked. Look at their QB Matt Stafford and recent brain surgeried wife Kelly’s message.
Play-caller? Virtue signalers of the WHITE PRIVILEGED sort. BTW I haven’t watched the Lions in over 20+ years. I was a big fan but the losing somehow stressed me out. It would ruin a good Sunday in the fall and carry over to workday Monday when other co-workers complained about them also. My Sundays have been great ever since. Other things can stress my life out. It’s my life. I try to enjoy it.
