As Democrats tout their green new deal at their virtual convention, an ugly picture is emerging from California as to what that looks like:
According to Deadline Hollywood:
As temperatures broke records across the state, California energy officials announced the first rolling blackouts in the state since 2001 and warned that the state was bracing for what could be the largest power outage it has ever seen, likely on Monday.
And it was pretty bad, Caracas-bad if you lived in the wrong parts. Yet this is the California that touts itself as "the model" for Democrats' climate action, and what the Democrats holding their convention this week would like to impose on the rest of the states if God forbid, Joe Biden gets elected president.
Gov. Gavin Newsom, who's in the middle of this, and probably hearing from his Silicon Valley baron allies, is finally admitting the truth about the failure of green energy to deliver actual energy when it's needed, calling on the state to 'sober up.'
According to Breitbart, which is the only news agency out there not editing these 'inconvenient truths' from their stories:
One reason the state lacked power, officials admitted, was its over-reliance on “renewables” — i.e. wind and solar power.
There was not enough wind to keep turbines going, Newsom said, and cloud cover and nightfall restricted solar power.
“While we’ve had some peak gust winds,” he explained, “wind gust events across the state have been relatively mild.”
...and...
“We failed to predict and plan these shortages,” Newsom admitted boldly, “and that’s simply unacceptable.” He said he took responsibility for the crisis, and for addressing it immediately, so that “we never come back into this position again.”

We’re leaving Colorado for the same reason my parents left California years ago.
A national reliance on renewable energy could change news headlines. Instead of COVD deaths there will be a daily body count of heat or cold related deaths. Like COVID the elderly will be most affected. Due to high energy costs in Europe it is not uncommon to have thousands dead during heat waves or cold snaps. Given the far worse temperature extremes common in the US the Green New Deal could result in tens of thousands of deaths due to extreme temperatures. We
The price of idiocy.
There’s nothing deficient about the distribution system here.
The problem is insufficient generation capacity after sunset.
Where did you get the idea distribution was the issue?
Regarding blackouts, as a consequence of Orange Man Bad COVID-19 lockdown, political pawn students of desperate Democrats are being cooled off by a bunch of home air conditioning units instead of fewer number of units cooling school buildings imo, solar power helping to reduce power needs.
In other words, is it possibly taking more power to keep the students cool at home than if they were at school?
Who knows? Maybe this lockdown situation is actually taking less power for a/c purposes.
Insights welcome.
Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats and RINOs home in November!
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.
That darkness will kill you every time on solar reliance. Plus, thanks to Tropical Storm Fausto streamings moisture to us here in Northern California from 1000 miles to the southwest, our high heat these last few days has been accompanied by very high humidity. You in other parts of the country are used to it; we are not. Overcast also not so good for solar generation
When will Gavin admit that he slept with Kammy Harris while they were “working” for Willie Brown?
Natural Gas:
A number of counties in the Bay area have banned ANY new construction from installing Natural Gas appliances.
And yet, Newscum will do nothing to change such destructive mandates.
California is governed by criminals and inhabited by imbeciles.

He sounded like a 5 year old apologizing for the ‘mess-up’. The Dems and those who worked with them share the blame for more than just a power outage, they desrve boots on their butts as they get kicked down the steps of governance, if you dare call it governing, that is.
So corrupt, so vile, so California these days. Bought off Sold off and now rapidly becoming Pi$$ed off at the ruling elite..
I needed to check the source.
Thought it was The Babylon Bee for a minute.
I wonder what caused this descent into reality.
But what happens when you start pulling all this energy out of the ocean currents?
Drastic weather changes anyone?
Warning - Colorado is on its way to becoming the next California...
“Warning”? Hell, we’ve known this since the 1990’s!

Mista Kotter, Mista Kotter (hand raised), I know. More natural gas plants? Son, that is also fossil fuel. But Mista Kotter, it is clean burning energy. Yes son, but they do put off some CO2 that is killing our planet. Mista Kotter, okay, but........as the classroom goes dark and all start fainting from 110 degrees.

Ha, I went out there and loaded it up on trucks, Near Jemes Springs, NM. Yes the dry hot rock project. Acccording to a reliable sourse, the scientists and engineers from Los Alamos would not listen to the drillers who understood the down hole conditions and they ruined the two wells they were drilling trying to make a “U-tube” in the Earth. Water in one, steam out from the other.
They spent money, serious money for years. The driller I knew said it would have worked it not for the Los Alamos scientists interfering and screwing up both wells.

a reliable sourse ???

May as well be Navin Johnson..
