But they allowed themselves to be surprised by an armed mob within days and blocks of previous rioting - very foolish, but they got very, very lucky. Let that be a lesson to everyone else - make sure that you have at least one firearm that is in perfect working order, that you’re well-trained with, and which is either loaded or has magazines (plural) or speed loaders (plural) within a foot or two of it. Having a long gun almost always beats a handgun in terms of intimidating/running off groups.
And just how did they “allow themselves to be surprised”? They should have hired an army?
