unfortunately, they don’t award electoral votes by surface area. it’s a matter of population centers; blighted blue counties have many, many more voters (dead ones as well as live ones) than red counties.
Of course, understood. (Conservative New Yorkers are only too aware.) It's just that funny things happen when the suburbs get nervous. And we have the Hispanic voters coming of age, beginning to sneak off the plantation because so many of them have small businesses.
This wasn't a wise year for the Democrats to field an all-socialist team of candidates--and come down to an old white guy and a nearly-white floosie who doesn't speak a word of Spanish and also has no connection to the black American 'hood, except as a descendant of slave owners.
