They're too hysterical to be satisfied with that. They would rather continue trying to insult everyone else into crowding into public buildings without the masks. They're so terrified of the thought of the disease, that the mere appearance of masks threatens the false sense of security they get from denying, rationalizing and their pursuit of confirmation bias from little mobs.

That's why a good bouncer in a nightclub doesn't say that there won't be any fight or trouble. The words, fight or trouble in any context, might spook the drunken herd.
