"And what do we think their definition of that was meant to be?"

I gave it in the post you replied to.

Not worth debating. This election is ours already unless we blow it.

"Kamala is a 14th amendment citizen. Congress cannot make her a natural born citizen"

Since was born in the US she doesn't need the 14th to confer citizenship. She always would have been a natural born citizen.

"Under our Constitution, a naturalized citizen stands on an equal footing with the native citizen in all respects save that of eligibility to the presidency"

That is correct. And since she is not naturalized she is eligible.

Where does the Constitution mention "native citizen"?

He will have his second term to finish, unfettered by his critics. If he has that 2nd term. Maximum pressure on all republicans the day after he is declared the winner. I do mean maximum. He doesn’t need to rally the base, he needs to get the middle.

I think i should Sue Teachers in 50s and early 60s in San Francisco Bay Area for Teaching us What a Natural Born Citizen meant. Teaches are so much Wiser now.

“”I gave it in the post you replied to.””

Sorry but I don’t see anything about “parents” in your reply? They changed from “subject” to “citizen” and you say that’s exactly the meaning they intended without any mention whatsoever about parents and their legal status. That’s the issue now and has been for some time - citizenship of the PARENTS of the person being discussed not solely the place where the person was born.

“”that’s exactly the meaning they intended when they wrote “natural born citizen”.””

Meadows just dropped a turd on America’s future.

I've never heard or seen Meadows display any strength or principles at all. Or, wait - I forgot-didn't he say that he was a great friend of Elijah Cummings, the [late] racist liar, a real grifter consumed by an endless hatred of white people, the rule of law, the Constitution, the Bill of rights and of any citizen who dared to call sedition and treason the attempted coup against the duly elected President. Calling a dirtball like Cummings a best friend is no sign of principle or love of country - it is something else. Meadows is nothing - just another low testosterone Rhino. So when he refuses to call out Klamydia Harris as constitutionally ineligible, it's not the end of the world. The President has far bigger fish to fry, that's all. And please recall that before he became a candidate, President Trump spent a lot of money fighting to have the question of the Kenyanian Usurper's constitutional ineligibility resolved. It was never resolved and the Usurper's endless damage to the Republic has borne out the disastrous consequences of flouting the natural born citizen requirement for presidential eligibility.

Because there's nothing about parents in the definition.

This is an issue for a conservative version of Jill Stein to harp about. Let the Constitution party do something useful for once and file a lawsuit. Even a .01% third party loser candidate has “standing” if they’re on the ballot in a state.

For Trump, it would be a distraction and allow the Democraps to harp about “ray cysts” instead of their crappy non-ideas. Better to let Camel Toe Hairs be “ineligible” by losing the election.

But the Constitution says “Natural Born citizen,” which they understood to be “born is the US with both parents citizens.”

Not only does it say "natural born citizen", it says something different for congresscritters and senatecreeps.

It has been ruled on multiple occasions by the Supreme Court that there are no superfluous words in the U.S. Constitution

From Article I, Section 2
No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen.

From Article I, Section 3
No person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the age of thirty years, and been nine years a citizen of the United States and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state for which he shall be chosen.

From Artcle II, Section 1
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

In plain words, Representatives and Senators just need to be 'a citizen'. The President must be 'a natural born' citizen, unless you are about 250 years old. The phrase 'natural born' must have a different meaning, or it would not have been included.

I think they just know this is a fight for someone else? Trump and company need to focus on other things.

It's not a fight for anyone else, because the supreme Court will not give standing to anyone but the party itself or the candidate. We've been through this before. The actual facts of the case about Obama, because the court denied standing to everyone who brought suit.

Better to have said nothing than undermine the Constitution further.

Exactly. Leave that to surrogate pundits and legal organizations like Judicial Watch. White House can be nonchalant, but it needs to be dealt with by others.

Could be the strategy all right. Let Trump keep his hands clean while JW files a lawsuit or requests adjudication of the definition.
All they need to do is ask her parents if they were US citizens at the time of her birth, and compare the answers with the language in the Constitution. Shouldn’t be too difficult to reconcile.
Trump has probably been briefed by the State Dept, knows she’s not eligible, and is content to let others smoke her out. Smart man, that Donald Trump is.

"The phrase 'natural born' must have a different meaning, or it would not have been included."

Nobody is saying it doesn't have a different meaning. But that meaning does not include anything about citizenship status of the parents.
