My wife and I have been on vacation in the mountains of North Carolina for the past week. NC is rigid on masks for grocery stores, etc.

I’ve had 5 conversations on HCQ. Views differ, as you can imagine.

I can’t remember my first conversation, except that it was favorable. My second conversation was with a retailer. We talked about the current state of affairs and I hazarded the view that taking HCQ early stops covid-19 in its tracks. I a little was surprised by her complete agreement. I’ll call these people normal Americans.

I had a conversation with a lady who lives in the complex where we are staying. She lives 6 months in Florida and 6 months in NC. She said it was interesting to see which stocks were doing well, and which badly. So I said, “you must be an investor.” She said yes, bought her first stock when she was 20, and investments made it possible to now own two places. She went on about the crazy politicization of masks. So I brought up HCQ as something that had been politicized. She said that I must be a “believer.” That was a surprise as I was not familiar with that label. But I said “yes I am.” She told me HCQ would kill me. I started to respond and she cut the conversation short. Nice lady, by and large, but I will classify her as an elitist.

Next I spoke with a scientist likewise staying where I’m staying. We we had good conversations on a few topics. We differ on emphasis. For example, while he is concerned about voter disenfranchisement, I’m concerned about voter fraud. He complained about Trump’s excessive influence on scientific matters. I figured he was talking about HCQ. I responded that censorship is the biggest problem. I said all points of view should be presented and Americans could then decide for themselves. He was skeptical that the average American could decide well. Another elitist.

My last conversation was with a couple on a walking trail to a waterfall. Ordinary Americans again. Their son is in college. Other students have contracted the virus. The son is in quarantine and will likely return home after it is over. I said that I would take HCQ as soon as I had symptoms, if only I could get my hands on it. He agreed.

So that’s my sample and I how I interpreted the results.

I know the left is fervidly against HCQ. I think that is just one more reason why President Trump should authorize the use of HCQ.

Most liberals are liberal in policy, but conservative in their personal life. Sure the two elitists would complain bitterly if Trump made HCQ available. They are already complaining on a number of topics. But if they contracted covid-19, they would take a second look at HCQ, if it were available.

Thanks for the informative report...I was raised in those Mountains...I feel if President Trump were to authorize the use of HCQ, the MSM, Pelosi etc. would blame him for any deaths that might happen after such an authorization.

Here is the Hillsdale college commencement that gives you a good idea of how to take care of this virus.

You can watch the video at this link: (teachers still teaching and students still learning)
