U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse and President Donald Trump both called on the U.S. Senate on Friday to pass H.R. 473, a bipartisan bill that Neguse introduced that would place a monument to women’s suffrage in Washington, D.C.
The monument, “Every Word We Utter,” has been created by Loveland sculptor Jane DeDecker.
Trump’s Friday morning tweet, part of a Twitter thread about what he has done for women, stated, “Congress should send me H.R.473 ASAP and make this happen! It will INSPIRE all women to continue being bold and brave in achieving their DREAMS!”

DeDecker’s 22-foot-tall sculpture depicts Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Stanton Blatch, Alice Paul and Ida B. Wells.

So we’re losing decent monuments and erecting crap. Oh good.
It looks like a smart move to me, no judgement on the art or the subject matter. It will be a feather in the president’s cap to erect it, and if the forces of evil try to tear it down, you couldn’t ask for a more divisive issue among the democrats.

Seems that way a little. It’s like Bizarro Campaign. Last time he didn’t give a flying *** about appealing to his enemies. It was his strength. Now things have changed.
