(After Trump won he writes)...

“I’m just devastated, Plus my god damned name is all over the legal documents investigating his staff.”

Well.....the charging documents highlight that all four of the applications to spy on Carter Page painted a false picture of the Trump affiliate. While the fourth application included outright falsified evidence regarding Page helping the CIA during the relevant time period, the other three ‘withheld’ that information even though it was known to the Crossfire Hurricane team within days of opening an investigation on the Trump campaign and months before the first application to spy on Carter Page was granted.

“How deep is the swamp? How vast are the players? Shadowgate deep?”

The following quote from the article and Clinesmith is illuminating — “Viva le resistance,” he texted an FBI colleague in November 2016 after Trump won when he was asked if he would serve in the Trump administration.

The question we should be asking is who invited Clinesmith to join the Trump administration? Answer that and you have another traitor. Then determine who brought Clinesmith’s sponsor into the administration and how many other people this sponsor brought into the administration The web is no doubt large.

Trump’s biggest mistake was not finding and vetting loyal people to staff his administration during the campaign. Chis Christie was his transition chief and apparently did nothing. Perhaps Christie didn’t believe Trump would win or was intentionally a saboteur. We know Trump did not give Christie a job in the administration, and replaced Christie soon after election day, so Trump must have figured out he had a major problem once he had the job and need to start making appointments.

Likely the administration, particularly the DOJ where Sessions let Rosenstein staff and run the department, is still full of Clinesmith’s and Democrat activist lawyers. The only way to clean it out is to examine each person, who recommended the person, and who hired the person. I suspect even 4 years into the administration Trump doesn’t have enough loyalists to carry out the vetting and purge. If he loses in November, the failure to properly staff his administration will likely prove to have been one of the major causes.

If Trump wins, and doesn’t clean house, throughout the bureaucracy, at the beginning of his administration he will be fighting the same fight for another four years.

-- How deep is the swamp? --

For practical purposes, infinite.

The only fix I can imagine is to strip the instututions of power.
