Four more Baldwin Park police officers, former and active, have filed government claims against the city, following in the footsteps of former police Chief Steve McLean, who alleged city officials were corrupt in June, according to an attorney representing the claimants.

In government claims filed against the city in July, Chris Kurberry, Mike Hemenway, Daniel Rodriguez and an unnamed claimant identified as “AA DOE” continue McLean’s original allegations, calling Mayor Manuel Lozano and other city leaders racist and corrupt.

Lozano declined to comment on the claims, saying he would address them once they are presented to the City Council. City Attorney Robert Tafoya also declined to comment, saying he doesn’t review these issues until they become official lawsuits.

“Anyone can make a claim,” Lozano said by phone on Friday. “I won’t make any immediate comments on the issue.”

Government claims are often precursors to lawsuits and typically demand money or redress. All the claimants are represented by Brad Gage, who filed the first claim for McLean in June. Gage said he intends to file a lawsuit on behalf of his claimants soon.

Baldwin Park...It is near the intersection of 10 and 605 Freeways...

Most people, living in Baldwin Park, are Hispanic...There are some Asians in that city...

I visited Target and Walmart in Baldwin Park many times...

E pluribus pluribus. No unum no more.
Very few espouse American ideals anymore. They just bring their old governmental habits. We dont need their failed ideas and systems.
