SÃO PAULO, July 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The growing demand for healthiness and products that help support the immune system is expanding the use of botanical ingredients in the global market. The powerful antioxidant effect of quercetin and rutin has brought these bioactive compounds to the forefront, especially for application in food supplements of natural origin.

According to research by the Nielsen market intelligence agency on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers are prioritizing products that help them protect their health, particularly those that offer immunity benefits.

Depends on the person. It is best to get tested. Simple blood test.

You are correct about using quercetin with zinc as being similar to HCQ and zinc (though you need about 3x as much quercetin as HCQ for the same effect), as well as about D (D3, to be exact, but I’m sure that you know that). The real irony/tragedy is that ALL of these substances are incredibly cheap. I get 5000 IU Vitamin D3 capsules for about $0.05/each at either Sam’s Club or Costco, and it is available for not much more elsewhere. It is among the cheapest and surest ways to prevent disease or, failing that, to help the body cure itself much faster, and it would literally save tens of thousands of lives each year just from the flu if 80% of the population had adequate levels. But then big pharma and the hospitals wouldn’t make very much money, nor would they be able to make large contributions to politicians. I would love to find out if pols at the higher levels are taking HCQ, and what THEIR Vitamin D levels are at - I’ll bet that their doctors are giving them HCQ as a preventative, and that they’ve advised them to boost their levels of D. Of course, it’d never do for the proles to have that kind of advice or treatment, as you couldn’t crush the economy in an effort to get rid of Trump if that were the case, nor could you condition the public to obey authority.

FYI, my Vitamin D test just came back about 10 days ago - 68. I’m not worried about getting Covid or anything else serious, though I am upping my dose for the next couple of months to get to the 80 range.

Checking levels is very expensive

The Discounted Pay At Time Of Service (cash) price at Sonora Quest Labs for a Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy - D2, D3, Total (LC/MS/MS) test is $45.

No.
Add at least 2000 IU, more if you are overweight or don’t get outside.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been reading about how damaging inflammation is in the body as well. Wonder if this works for that as well?.....

My multi-vitamin has 1000 iu vitamin D. I take a 5000 IU vitamin D3 and a vitamin K2 in addition to that.

It’s encouraging to me hearing of people handling their vitamin D levels.

I drive past an emergency care facility sometimes and lately the parking lot has been full. I think it is people getting COVID 19 tests and it’s so disheartening. If these poor people had been told about the huge vitamin D deficiency problem they could have fixed it for themselves and very likely would have not needed the COVID test now.

The best defense against illness and/or how seriously it will affect you is a strong immune system is from eating well and not being obese

There is no scientific basis for your statement. It sounds good, and it’s what doctors have been saying for decades, but it’s not the case.

However, there are many controlled studies which show the efficacy of certain herbs to boost immunity.

Interesting. ..I tend to agree with you that you should just take it. I have preached taking vit d3 /k for last several years. I take 8-10K daily...and do have my levels checked...just got it back to 72...

I can't advise you on that. Just look on the label og the multivitamins container. /It should tell what percentage of the dauly requirement of each vitamin a tablet has.

Personally, I buy a bottle of D3m each one 2,000 I. U., and take one gekcao every day. Done that a long tome.

Stay healthy!
