Love that idea.

We used to have a Republican Sheriff in Wake County - he would not have put up with this type of crime.

So far we’ve got:

Security Cameras - check
Electrify sign - ?
Poison Ivy on sign - ?
Getting a “Writ of Mandamus” forcing the sheriff to do his duty to investigate the blatant threat. ?

Every time I have to do something in front of my house, mow the lawn, work on a vehicle, etc, I’m doing it with a giant, loaded Beretta on my hip.

Deterrence is a great thing.

I was just wondering if any of them might hear about this and offer their, “Services.”

Back when Bush/Cheney were running (before our Conservative ‘enlightenment’!) I made the mistake of having a supportive bumper sticker on my car.

At the time I was working in, ‘The People’s Republic of Madistan’ so of course my car was keyed and a side window was smashed while in the parking lot.

I triggered a Snowflake before there was even a name for them!

“Electrify sign - ?”

As much as I appreciate the thought, that constitutes a trap like a gun placed with a string. Probably get him arrested.

“Poison Ivy on sign - ?”

Stuff grows really fast so it would cover the sign rapidly without tending. And who in the he(( wants to trim that mess?

Another possibility is to water the ground numerous times during the night with a timed sprinkler. Messes up shoes and leave prints. Course there’s the obvious...buy a grown rottweiler and put the dog house next to the sign at night. Ounce of prevention... Just post dog signs and it becomes their bad choice at that point.

Bad part about this whole thing is that the cops won’t be real receptive to coming out for a trespasser/thief that never gets out of the front yard. So an impression will have to be made that deters rather than hammers. Take your time getting out of the house when the fracas starts.....let the dog eat him a little. (Make sure the shots are up)
