China will no longer be the world's manufacturing epicenter going forward, according to Apple's largest supply chain partner Foxconn, which has been gradually expanding its operations in other countries amid the U.S.-China trade war.

"No matter if it's India, Southeast Asia or the Americas, there will be a manufacturing ecosystem in each," said Foxconn chairman Young Liu, according to Bloomberg. Liu boldly proclaimed that while China will continue to be a key location for Foxconn's factories, the country's "days as the world's factory are done."

The report claims that Foxconn's manufacturing capacity outside China is now 30 percent of its total, up from 25 percent last June. Foxconn is one of several Apple suppliers that has expanded operations in India and Vietnam in particular.

The Zhengzhou campus has launched a partner program, with eligible employees who internally-referred applicants be able to receive bonuses of up to RMB 9,000, the report said.

It's unclear exactly how many people will be hired, however, the number of employees at Foxconn factories in Zhengzhou varies greatly, from perhaps tens of thousands in the off-season to as many as a million employees in the peak season.

As the most Apple supplier, Foxconn gets the largest share in making iPhones which is expected to reach more than 80 percent, mainly for the Sub-6 band 5G version of the iPhone.

Specifically, all of the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max was given to Foxconn, and those outside of the 6.1-inch also got 70% of the order.

With bonuses like this, Foxconn will shift production if only to lower manufacturing costs.

And imagine the HR headaches if Foxconn had to hire 1,000,000 seasonal employees in the US or Europe ...

Which is the way it used to be before everyone went apeshit over globalization. Public companies robbed this country of its manufacturing base as an expedient way to show investors quarter-over-quarter growth that earned them big bonuses and stock options.

It was industrial rape.

Politics aside, China’s labor force already peaked over 10 years ago. Its on a steady decline now. As nearly all children are only-children, even many poor rural children often won’t take jobs on assembly lines.

President Trump is always right.

Don’t know why, but he is.

I think that he reads and studies and thinks a lot. Plus he listens to some very capable and clever people.

Actually, I can't see any other politician able to do all that President Trump has.

He must be blessed by the L_rd to have accomplished so much.

The aging of the Chinese population has been cited as a factor in making China more unstable, both internally and against its competitors.

I suspect that China (at least the current Politburo) as seeing a window close quickly if they do not act soon.

Amen. When the One was told by Apple CEO that “iPhone manufacturing are never coming back”, he could have casually said “well, sorry about this but the US government will no longer permit apple products to be part of any federal contract and we are forced to penalize funding to states that try to use taxpayer dollars to buy them”.

But he didn’t. A Trump was necessary
Playboy billionaire or not. Not elected as pastor.
