West Virginia:

Gov.Jim Justice said West Virginia will pay 25% of any new federal unemployment benefits that come from Washington. President Trump signed an Executive Order to give the unemployed an additional 400 dollars per week, with the states paying 100 of that.

The administration “clarified” the rules...states can now use existing state unemployment benefits to fulfill the 25%/$100. mandate. So yes, most all states will take the free money now.

I doubt it - most RAT states will not accept even those terms, in order to score political points

N.Y., Jersey & CA maybe...but there will be great pressure from the unemployed in those states saying “where is my extra $300.”.

How CAN they pay everyone an extra $100 a week?

Their own ‘lockdown’ policies have bankrupted their states and destroyed businesses for half the year already. They CAN’T print fake money like the Federal Government / Federal Reserve Criminal Consortium can, to shuffle the the debt off on future generations.

Alabama says they have the money. Last year they really hadn’t to pay anything unemployment-wise, and are using funds put away—but not used then—for now.

Won’t it work in the reverse?

The Feds paying $300.00

The states paying $100.00

So, people will be asking ‘where is my extra $100’??

Not to mention that the lib states (CA, cough, cough) have been paying ILLEGALS, over American citizens, for benefits/special services.

Washington State Gov Inslee might have a problem saying he can’t when he just reappropriated $40 million of Cares act funds for illegals.

Feds pay $300. and the states pay whatever they normally pay (has to be >$100.00/week of course). Some states may add the $100. if they have the extra $$. They will have to ask the state “where is my additional $100. “.

“We modified slightly the mechanics of the deal,” Kudlow said. “States can still, if they put another $100 in to raise the benefit more generally, that’s fine. ... Any state who put in $100 before, and every state did, they will then qualify for the extra $300.”

$400, not $300. The unemployed would get $400 under the plan, correct?

Not unless a state kicks in the extra $100. (not likely in most states given tight budgets due to COVID lockdowns). It will be an extra $300. for about 5 weeks or so. $44 billion only lasts about 5 weeks if 30 million unemployed get the $300.
