There was a Freeper that postulated they have no expectations of winning this election. Run their clowns now and collect campaign money and just screw with the country. The next election they run their serious candidates.

Doesn’t matter how popular they are. What the Democrats have going for them is a vote counting corruption system perfected in key republican dominated or swing districts in 2018 that will be nation wide this election.....

That’s an interesting thought. I live in the liberal north east and can count on one hand the number of Joe Biden signs I have seen. There is no support for Joe Biden there’s simply a lot of leftists who don’t like trump. I think they may be onto something where they are just running by and get him out of the way in the try for a more serious rational candidate in 2024
