Thing is, they treat Dalits and whites the same.

How about they (and every other immigrant) assimilate. If you want your “Cast” system, stay in Inida.

Yes, they do. I had a subordinate prepare a report. It was great. I wanted him to present it to the Indian who headed the group requesting the report. As far as I know he never read it and rejected it outright.

I took the same report to the Indian and presented it as a "peer" (we were both managers at the same pay grade). He praised it and implemented the recommendations.

I went to HR with this issue claiming it was counter productive to have two people do one job, presenting the report. It was also detrimental to the career of my subordinate because of the initial rejection.

All I got was a shrug. No one wanted to cross up the EEOC.

I work for a company that has exported hundreds of white collar jobs to Chennai over the past decade. How can you tell what caste an Indian belongs to? Is it detectable by name?

They treat each other the same. I know several who are cousins and they stab each other in the back all the time.
