“Nine people six students and three faculty members have since tested positive for the coronavirus, the school in Dallas, Georgia, informed parents on Saturday.”....”The school was closed as a result of the infections and the district announced it would move learning online for Monday and Tuesday.”
As opposed to simply being sure the three faculty members and six students stay out of school for at least 14 days, offer free testing to the rest of the teachers and staff, and keeping the school open. They have found the nine people were the heart of any problem and no need to punish everyone else by keeping the school closed. As for “remote” learning, just put the actual classroom on the remote learning app and the kids at home can follow and keep up with what’s happening in the classroom.
Reopening schools will not happen if they are closed at the drop of a feather, i.e., whenever there are positive tests, even if no student has serious symptoms.
