The Bible is the story of deeply flawed men who still did God’s work. Moses committed murder. King David seduced a man’s wife and then murdered him when he found out that she was pregnant. Jonah ran from God’s mission. Peter denied Jesus. Paul persecuted early Christians. John “the disciple Jesus loved most” was obnoxiously arrogant. [I left out a VERY long list of other examples; those who write the Bible consciously worked to include the human flaws of their own leaders, kings, and prophets.]
That’s all in scripture to make an important and reassuring point: God’s work is often performed by deeply flawed people. I find that a relief because I am deeply flawed. I also find it relevant as I watch President Trump performing God’s work.
Kasich opposes guns, supports Obamacare, supports abortion, supports mass immigration including citizenship for illegals, and in all other respects follows lockstep with his fellow democrats.
