By the way, it is COMPLETELY LEGAL to transport firearms in checked baggage in the US, if you are legal to have it at the source and at your destination. I personally have flown with pistols, rifles, and ammunition many, many, many times. There are a set of protocols, which slightly varies among the airlines, which you must follow. Firearms must be locked with a key that ONLY YOU HAVE (NOT a TSA lock), and the magazines and firearm must be unloaded. There’s an inspection by TSA. They have mostly been nice. No problems, ever. I haven’t flown in about 2 years, though.

Yup. I know the drill. Easier to just pick one up at your destination. Gun show loophole style. 😂🙌📴
