When someone states their opinion then it is just that
My ancestors departed Europe in the 1600’s to come to this country and never went back

If you are offended, perhaps I miss-underestimated you, as a former president liked to say. Or your sense of humor, anyway.
I simply thought your comment was, as our current president likes to say, perfect.
