Taking that one step further, real wealth is "created."

Take it away from the creators and it (wealth) stops being created (i.e., it ceases to exist).

That's why under communism, we are all equally poor.

Yuppp...
I was thinking just after I posted that I should have said real world wealth is produced. Earning it is inherent in the process of investment and effort.

Any time something is produced, rather than just exchanged (or even distributed) the total sum of standard of living is increased.

If you grow the pie enough, even the smaller slices are bigger and everyone involved wins. If you keep slicing up a small pie, everyone suffers for it.
