If someone wanted to intentionally cause mayhem, death, and destruction the tons of AN languishing in the warehouse was a ready-made instrument. Given that everything in the area was not only leveled but turned into a water-filled crater we'll never know if the adjacent warehouse fire was accidental or intentional.
Really the incompetence or negligent attitude is astounding. Thousands of tons of flammable/explosive material kept in close proximity to fireworks storage and a grain silo (with their propensity for dust explosions). This area was an accident waiting to happen. I'm surprised it took 6+ years. Sure, hazardous material is moved and stored all the time, often in large quantities. This seems just a bit too casual about safety measures, separation distances, and the like.
I’d say they condemned themselves out of their own mouths.

That building next door is not a high rise building. It is not a steel frame high rise like most modern structures built in cities around the world.
It was/is a concrete grain silo. Look to be 8-10 stories high. This is a structure made of reinforced very thick concrete walls. Constructed to hold shiploads(thousands of tons)of grain.
See my previous post. There were many of these structures along the Great Lakes especially around Buffalo, NY. They were built prior to the construction of the Welland canal that went from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario.
Nasrallah is trying to cover his ass with his base fanatics. Word on the street is that he most likely will be assassinated, or have a fatal heart attack within the next week (not from the Israelis, but from his own folks). I would make sure that his food tasters are loyal in the next few weeks if I were him...
:)
At the expense of killing hundreds and injuring thousands of innocents? Would even Israel do such a thing?
Lebanon had been locked down for virus nonsense, and had only reopened a few days earlier. People had reported a lot of activity near the warehouses, with Hezbollah soldiers strutting around. That whole area was known to be controlled by Hezbollah.
An early photo showed a group of men in dock workers clothing trying to open or cut open (with a torch) one of the warehouse doors. It looks to me like it was an accident but one that occurred because Hezbollah was trying to get at the seized weapons and AN stored in the warehouses.
Not necessarily true.
For relatively small amounts it is correct, but very large amounts have been known to detonate with fire as the initiator.
