I still support NRA, but I have long felt it is top heavy and we are putting ALL our eggs in one basket.
NRA is SUCH a target of the left and if it goes down, the 2nd amendment is unprotected. On the other had there are no end of liberal organizations protecting abortion, gun grabbing, gays, etc.
When Ollie North got in there it was rocked. Not sure if Ollie was right or just a loose cannon, but it revealed large cracks.

Years ago when I was training to become a Shooting Instructor, I explained why I refused to contribute financially to a Politically affiliated organization like the NRA.
It was explained that the chief purpose of the NRA is to teach shooting skills, starting with safety and responsibility. They instruct 750,000+ individuals every year and my $25.00 per year goes more towards that than to buying off politicians. Essentially by being a NRA Instructor, I actually am the NRA.. Therefore, I join 3 years at a time for $75.00.
The NRA, like all institutions run by men are going through a bit of a reset BUT they are the preeminent defender of our rights.
I also contribute to the Gun Owners of America.
When are they going to look into the Clinton Foundation?
Well IF they did then such an action by NY is warranted, provided proper procedure is followed.
That’s all they got? A lawsuit against the NRA which already addressed these problems? And that requires a news conference? Gee, I thought it was something scandalous.

Destroying the NRA is a waste of time. The NRA is fairly strong...but, nowhere near as strong as the American people, who are pissed off at Democrats & Fake News Media buffoons, and, Americans love the second amendment...The Right To Bear Arms. Gun sales, mostly Glock pistols & home protecting shot gun sales went up 138% from the same time last year.
As the magnificent TV police, Sargent, Joe Friday, used to say, so bluntly...”Ma’am...just the facts give me the facts” There are tons of high powered “Glock” pistols out there...folks and the average Joe & Jane American know exactly how to use them if need be.
Let me put this it this way...these days I do not want to be a Democrat, nor, A fake news media goon. You figure out the clear, reasoning, for it is as plain as the nose on your face!!! May God bless the Second Amendment...The right for average American citizens to bear arms, if need be!!!
The NRA is the only gun rights group the Left has ever truly feared. Conservatives who have abandoned them because leadership splurged a bit or because some of their stances weren’t as pure and aggressive as GOA or others are making a poor decision.

The weaponization of government is the result of a government that has given themselves the powers to stick their nose into everything. If government were actually confined to it’s constitutional limits in powers, NONE of these issues would happen.
But people want that cheese (free shit others pay for), they want that big brother to tell someone what and how to do, they want that sense of security at an airport with their worthless TSA or now with an NIH/CDC/FDA giving them the illusion of government protection from a virus. (LOL)
You cannot have both. You cannot have a secure, safe, and stable place, AND liberty, privacy, true freedom in choice or decision.
Once government grows into the beast it has become, they will tell you how much water your toilet is to use per flush and what lightbulb you use so you’re not in the dark while sitting on said toilet. Once government becomes the giant octopus with its tentacles in everything, you suddenly also get government agencies going after the NRA while protecting and funding Planned Parenthood.
