Heavy equipment intended for the construction of a 25-mile section of the wall through South Texas arrived on Sunday and was being offloaded Monday along a levee bordering the Rio Grande River. In response, the tribe and its allies staged a march Monday from a location near the town of Mission to the National Butterfly Center, a 100-acre wildlife refuge that’s also being threatened by the immanent construction of the wall.

CONTRACTORS WORKING FOR the Trump administration are blowing apart a mountain on protected lands in southern Arizona to make way for the president’s border wall.

I guess their chief complaint is that a vehicle barrier is being replaced or augmented with a 30 foot bollard wall. That is new fencing to me, as it reduces the ability to cross the border

The wall is being built through the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge, home to the endangered Sonoran pronghorn, and the rugged Tinajas Altas Mountains in the Barry M. Goldwater Bombing Range east of Yuma, Arizona. The 30-foot-tall, bollard-style barriers will block wildlife migration, damage ecosystems, and destroy natural history and Native American sacred sites.
“Trump is bulldozing the borderlands’ most beautiful, rugged landscapes for nothing but a twisted campaign promise,” said Laiken Jordahl, a borderlands campaigner at the Center. “Walling off these protected wildlands will kill wildlife, obliterate sacred sites and rip a hideous scar through the heart of the world’s most biodiverse desert.
We’ll continue to fight Trump’s despicable border wall every step of the way, and we won’t stop until it’s torn down.”

There are probably something like three dozen crews out there working, across the Southern Border - double shifts are common. Across all of the crews, a total of about ten more miles worth is completed each week.
