Hey, they were just messing with you for fun's sake. I did some ride-alongs with a police lieutenant in those bad neighborhoods of SF (also in the 90s). We would stop across the street from the projects and black hoodlums were openly selling drugs across from us. They would smile and wave at us, and continue doing what they were doing.
That sounds like a fun time. This was in OJ trial days also. I was in those Muni barns among all those drivers also. Can’t imagine if OJ was found guilty. The City would have burned.
