Whether your ballot has been received back yet at the election office is a public record - so the ballot harvesters can go door knocking with a list.
With all the election fliers I get every day, it is pretty clear to my mailman which party I am registered with. Anyone with any doubts about their mailman should drop their ballot off at the post office rather than leave it in their mailbox. Probably should anyway.

I heard an old saying when I worked for the USPS, if you want to get something on someone, ASK THE MAILMAN. When I worked there whenever absentee ballots were in the mail steam we knew there were swarms of postal inspectors lurking about, in our facitity and Associate Offices as well as following the mail carriers around. I've heard of people, including some supervisors who ended up fitted with "silver bracelets" for messing with political mail and ballots. Will the Inspection Service continue to exercise the same level of diligence?
