How much are you willing to pay someone for your mistakes or am I mistaken and you never make mistakes.

Such things happen all the time. Many years ago I was playing catch with my nephew at my dad’s house. My nephew made a throwing error and a window was broken. My mistake for standing too close to the window. I paid for a new window.

In the above example there was physical damage. But mistakes can sometimes cause emotional damage, “pain and suffering”. And I think being the innocent victim of a felony stop falls under that category.

That doesn’t mean that those cops are evil! They just made a mistake. And you should pay for your mistakes.

As long as the payout money is not outrageous, it’s no big deal. And it’s also the right thing to do.

Two grand to each girl each sounds about right to me.
