CNN’s Acosta: Trump Telling ‘One Whopper After Another’ About Mail-in Voting
Breitbart ^ | 08/04/2020 | Pam Key

Monday on CNN’s “Situation Room,” chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta following the White House coronavirus press briefing accused President Donald Trump of “telling one whopper after another” about mail-in voting.

Acosta said, “Right at the end of that press conference, the president was just telling one whopper after another about mail-in voting. At one point saying that he doesn’t believe that the U. S. Postal Service has the ability to deal with mail-in balloting at election time. We just need to point out the U. S. Postal Service put out a statement late this afternoon that says, ‘The Postal Service has ample capacity to adjust our nationwide processing and delivery network to meet projected election and political mail volume, including any additional volume that may result as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.'

If mail in voting is so reliable and secure, then why can’t I purchase firearms through the mail?

I agree. His discussion of mail-in vote fraud was the strongest part of his presser.

There’s actually a video of Nadler in 2004 stating out-loud that mail-in voting has some very serious flaws and is ripe for corruption!

I have some inside scoop on that.

The REAL story is that Trump’s new Postmaster General decided to implement some efficiencies, and the union brotherhood decided to “resist” them.

Go voter ID via pix or thumb print, then its solved.

Obama and the other dems and those anti-social-distancers at the funeral, sure don't have much confidence in Black voters, since they obviously don't believe that Blacks simply can't be expected to be able to have ID.

This is from an apparently left-wing online magazine, Common Dreams. I mean, the rest of the article appears to be liberal.

https://www.commondreams.org/views/2020/04/07/lost-mail-coronavirus-era

“Right now, nationwide, as with my own local post office, the US Postal Service is trying to deal with the overwhelming magnitude of the COVID-19 pandemic. Workers are performing heroically but are desperately shorthanded and succumbing to sickness. And while in many areas of the country postal management is trying to serve customers and protect both them and employees, the quality of care greatly varies.

An article last month from investigative journalists at Pro Publica reported postal carriers saying they were “being pressed into service against medical advice and with insufficient protection against the novel coronavirus… postal workers said the USPS has long pushed employees to avoid taking sick days and managers are still sticking to that.”

And Jake Bittle at The Nation wrote, “Many post offices have long been understaffed, and the coronavirus is poised to push an already overworked labor force to a breaking point. Without drastic action, the virus could soon threaten the Postal Service just when it’s needed most.”

If Joe Biden was actually ahead in the polls they wouldn’t be pushing for mail-in voting. As long as they squawk about it rest assured Biden is behind.

And of course, as others have pointed out, there’s also the problem of insolvency. According to NPR, the USPS lost $8.8 billion last year.

We’ve had a few pieces of mail in the last few years we’ve kept track of.

An international package that languished in the US for over 20 days before being shipped overseas.

A time sensitive letter that took over 15 days to travel less than 20 miles.

A check from 60 miles away that never, ever arrived even though we have the pickup confirmation.

A package to the next state that sat in the local post office for over a week before even leaving. (This was just last week)

We’re going to trust these clods with our votes? Nope.

Maryland had a mail in failure too. The Republican primary in my district took over three weeks to tabulate. Uh huh. Yep, works perfectly

The Post Office has been terrible the past few months. I was ordering small fishing items because the fly shops were closed and the PO managed to lose 4 packages (probably envelopes) in 4 months.

They absolutely can not be trusted with all mail voting.

Uh huh... HOW IS THE nY election doing?

“Vote by mail is a mess...
(Reuters) - A U.S. judge late on Monday ordered all local boards of election in New York state to count “thousands” of absentee ballots received the day after a congressional primary held last June 23 but previously disqualified because of postmark problems.

According to the ruling by Judge Analisa Torres of Federal District Court in Manhattan, the absentee ballots are to be counted “without regard to whether such ballots are postmarked by June 23.” Carolyn Maloney, the Democratic Party incumbent, got 40.29% of votes previously counted, while challenger Suraj Patel received 38.43%.

The ruling also ordered ballots received on June 25 be counted, as long as such ballots are not postmarked later than June 23. It wasn’t immediately clear exactly how many ballots were affected.

Media had reported that about 12,000 ballots were disqualified. About 1.2 million New York voters, including 414,582 in New York City, voted by absentee ballot in the primary, the ruling said.

New York was one of five states that conducted statewide primaries in June, encouraging mail-in balloting as a safe alternative to in-person voting during the coronavirus pandemic, bringing record numbers of absentee ballot requests.

According to the ruling, there is “uncontroverted evidence” that thousands of absentee ballots were not postmarked.”

This issue is HUGE. The RNC needs to extensively promote a an easy-to-understand, well reasoned criticism of such voting, with proved examples of failure and an expert to answer push-back. That’s far from all that is needed, but its an essential step.

Whatever the Democrats are accusing the Republicans of doing the Democrats themselves are doing. Listen.
The Democrats are lying about mail-in voting.
