Mandating only distance learning for private and religious schools is wrong as the parents and pupils of those schools have already made the choice that those schools are superior to the public schools, both as to instruction and on how the school is run. Let the schools reopen and function and if a particular one or more want to stay closed or require masks, that’s their choice, not governments.

This isn’t about the Mexican Beer Virus. It’s about how teachers’ unions are trying to control non-union workplaces. It will also prevent the school district from looking even more incompetent by comparison. Montgomery County used to have the very best schools in the country, but that was before its sanctuary city and other policies attracted illegals, and its curriculum changed from education to social justice.
