U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has scheduled a return trip to Tennessee Monday to appear alongside U.S. Senate candidate Manny Sethi.
Members of Sethis campaign said in an emailed press release Saturday that the pair will appear in Jackson and then Cordova.
As reported last month, Cruz endorsed Sethi.
Sethi and Bill Hagerty are competing against one another in Thursdays Republican primary to replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander.
Sethi and Cruz will first appear at a town hall meeting from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. central time on Monday at Volunteer International, 626 Airways Blvd. in Jackson, the press release said.
Sethi and Cruz will then travel 70 miles west to Cordova. There, the two will host another town hall meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Central Standard Time at The Grove at Red Oak Lake, 849 Rocky Point Road, according to the press release.
Cruz previously said the Washington swamp tries to trick voters into choosing their preferred candidate.
Theres a reason the Establishments throwing everything theyve got at Dr. Manny these final days hes winning, Cruz said last month.
As reported, Cruz, during an appearance last month in Mt. Juliet, elaborated more about Washington, D.C.
You have to understand what Washington wants. Washington wants senators that will go with the flow, that arent going to rock the boat, that arent going to cause any trouble, that will just quietly get absorbed into the swamp, Cruz said.
If you look at Washington, right now we need strong conservative fighters. Thats the reason Im here. Im here supporting Dr. Manny, because we need reinforcements. We need someone who will go to Washington and tell Washington I dont work for you, I work for the men and women of Tennessee.
Cruz said that the Washington swamp is predictable in always telling who they are scared of, as indicated by them dropping cash into the state of Tennessee by the helicopter.
They can do money, Cruz said. Theyve got a lot of money.
What they cant do is actual grassroots activist and conservatives, Cruz added.
Who would want Lyn Ted campaigning for them? Seems very counter-productive and way to risk losing.
Heard dr manny interview on levin radio last night.
He pushed all the right buttons for me.
Running vs a romney rino swamper
We love and support Senator Ted Cruz.
*TN Senate race ping*
Would you rather have a senator supported by Ted Cruz (and Rand Paul and Mark Levin and most Tennessee grass-roots conservatives) or one who supports and is likely to vote like Mitt Romney?
We voted for Sethi last week.
Per the ads (if you can believe any of ‘em), both may have issues. But given the Romney-Hagerty connection ... uh uh. No way.
Lyn Ted is a Never Trumper and finds convenient times to show this side. There is nothing about him to respect, he has accomplished nothing, most of what he touches, ends in failure. Dont forget he would have lost to Beto had Trump not come in at last minute to drag his sorry a55 across the finish line. And his response? Ungrateful, unreliable, and undermining.
At the very least, A Sethi win will send a very clear message to McConnell and the Establicans that they do not get to pick the Senate candidate in Tennessee. A Sethi win will also demonstrate that the Establicans cannot simply buy an election.
As for Sethi’s “issues”, I personally do not expect perfection out of any human. It is fair to say, however, that Sethi will know that he owes his win to the grass-root conservatives, not the political establishment. That in itself is worth taking the chance with Sethi.
The issue here is not Ted Cruz - who, despite your low opinion of same, has a large number of supporters within Tennessee grass-roots conservatives - but whether the Establican Swamp choice, Hagerty, will prevail against the grass-roots conservative choice, Sethi.
I will say it again, every grass-roots conservative across the nation should be hoping for a Sethi victory in both the primary and the general.
Texas can have Cruz as their Senator as long as they wish. (Cornyn too)
Conservatives will have to decide if they love the Constitution more than they love Ted Cruz if he runs for President again.

You really need to get off that ‘never Trumper’ nonsense. Cruz is one of Trump’s biggest supporters. Try watching his podcasts.
Thanks to haters like Reno is the reason why Nevada has two Dingy Harry meatpuppets as Sinators.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I do not see the GOP base selecting a senator for the presidential candidate in the foreseeable future. We’ll let the Dems stick with that paradigm.
Ted is one of the few good guys in the Senate and needs help. I hope Manny gets elected.
