TransUnion runs one of the major rental databases in the US. Not subject to standard consumer credit protection laws. You bet a company like this can keep people homeless.

This is especially important with the wave of expected evictions. Forbidden to rent based on a fuzzy logic TransUnion score, where will people rent?

When I moved back to the US after 20 years, my FICO score was zeroed out. Many complexes I applied for wanted me to pay 6 months rent to move in or get a rental co-signer or a guaranteed employment contract for 1 year. Hell, even most Craigslisters use TransUnion or other rental database companies.
