I think I saw an interview of this biographer, who said simply that Drudge was only interested in Drudge.
He did have a radio show for a short while as I recall, so not sure whether he really is all that shy, or just tried to capitalize further and didn’t like it or do very well at it.
There is something to be said about raking in $100,000’s a year doing nothing but hiring some interns to generate witty headlines that link to other people’s work.
