I will avoid patronizing any business that displays such a sign. I don’t care who owns the business, but if black is your priority, then let black be your customer.
A few years ago I had volunteered to sit on a panel and judge some presentations on various topics being given by high-school Seniors.
I remember one young black man chose the topic of black-owned businesses. And he really did a very find job with his research, development of a Powerpoint and his delivery. I was impressed.
There was a Q&A afterwards. I asked him why he had chosen this topic.
His response: “I really hate it when I walk into a store in my neighborhood and see that is is owned by an Indian or an AAAAA-rab.”
I was stunned. All ginned-up over the topic of racism, yet he could not recognize it coming out of his own mouth.
