Actually, Avogadro’s Number is not a theory at all but a fundamental physical constant. It is the number of atoms or molecules in one mole of any element or compound. The number is 6.02214076 x 10^23. (x 10 to the 23rd power)

Actually, Avogadros Number is not a theory at all but a fundamental physical constant. That "fundamental physical constant", is a constant used in a physical theory, specifically the atomic theory of matter, which has received widespread acceptance these days. When Henri Poincaré entered the École Polytechnique in 1873, the chemistry faculty was scrupulously neutral: For every atomicist hired they hired one anti-atomicist to keep the faculty balanced. There may be a lesson there for American higher education in the 21st Century.
