COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hours after Governor Mike DeWine asked the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to reconsider its decision banning the use of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat COVID-19 in Ohio, the board has withdrawn the rule.

The board said the decision was made "as a result of the feedback received by the medical and patient community and at the request of Governor DeWine."

Regardless of the truth of the FDA’s “findings” (those “findings” being the basis OHIO medical board used for their decision to ban HQC))about HQC it should be between the patient, and Doctor. The Doctor knows the patient’s condition, ie; heart, and so forth. Why is it up to a board that doesn’t know the patient to decide whether that patient is allowed specific medication.

The use of the drugs to treat the coronavirus has been controversial.

Notice the word "controversial". Any time the media uses the word "controversial", you can be sure that what they are referring to is something that does not agree with the liberals' talking points.

MAKE HCQ AND ZINC SULFATE OTC DRUGS AND STOP THIS PANDEMIC. IT WOULD ALSO TAKE NUTCASES LIKE DEWINE OUT OF THE EQUATION.

Although it's mostly Trump, I applaud anyone who fights back against the America/American-hating Democrat/Left.

Congratuations and heartfelt thanks to Governor DeWine for doing so.

Cities are thinking twice about abolishing police.
Attorney General dismisses charges against McCloskeys
More than 100 police agencies pull out of dem convention.

Just noticing some positive news here and there.

Where does government end and health begin? It’s been a long-tested question.

I believe that health care has no place in government at all, as the Constitution does not recognize it. Health was meant to be taken care of by local doctors who can share information very easily today.

As soon as these bureaucrappic constructs like HHS, NIH and CDC affect the direction of federal government, the people suffer from second-guessing doctors with any power. We are stuck with Faucis.

Someone likely threatened to testify against these political hacks on the Ohio Board of Pharmacy for any wrongful death lawsuit.

I'm sure the retail pharmacies, especially big ones such as WalMart and Target, called up the governor because they would be facing suits for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) violations if they refused the prescription and notified anyone.

"I'm the doctor. They're my patient. Who the hell are you?"

Then again, it might have been simpler than that. Ohio's small enough that patients could get their prescriptions filled out of state and the pharmacies were too aware of what losing customers would do to their already damaged bottom line.
