I supported him for the same reason I supported Trump- he had run businesses and was not a career politician. He’d spent most of his life outside the DC bubble.

Prayers that his family be comforted.

Mr Cain had a long and distinguished life. In 2006, he was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in his colon and metastases to his liver and given a 30 percent chance of survival. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy following the diagnosis, and the cancer was subsequently reported to be in remission. He lived another 14 years before contracting coronavirus. Recent news did not comment on the status of his cancer but his medical history placed him in the most vulnerable group. Sadly the world lost a good man.
