Trump officially suggests delaying the election
Twitter ^ | 07/30/20 | Donald Trump

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???

“Even to suggest such a serious matter is an abuse of his entrusted power.”

Oooooooh! No one can ask questions if in certain positions?

You are quite the prick.

WRONG Trumps tweets are official statements from the president according to the DOJ

From which Twitter account? @POTUS is his official White House account. @RealDonaldTrump is his personal account he's had since 2009. The election tweet came on the latter.

You are correct.

The difference was, Obama turned otherwise crazy ass thoughts into policy, and was in the midst of (largely trying) to destroy the country.

Trump waves his left hand, and does something else with the right ... and as far as I can tell isn’t trying to destroy the country.

Mail-In Voting is already proving to be a catastrophic disaster. Even testing areas are way off. The Dems talk of foreign influence in voting, but they know that Mail-In Voting is an easy way for foreign countries to enter the race. Even beyond that, there’s no accurate count!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 30, 2020

The Presidential “election” is not a Federal matter.

Let’s be clear: Trump does not have the ability to delay the election. Our elections are enshrined in the Constitution. The Constitution also says that if the date of the election is to be changed, it must be changed by Congress. https://t.co/WzVgBQqdSo— Rep. Nadler (@RepJerryNadler) July 30, 2020

Asking questions where you should already know the answer is indicative of what?

exactly,

Besides tanking the stock market to the tune of 484 points, 1.8% it hurts his election chances-this will be a Democratic ad

the conservative person who can get Trump off Twitter deserves a medal. I’ve lost track of the number of Trump supporters who say, they love Trump but hate his tweets-

Trolling or not, I cannot see how this “question” of Trump’s improves his chances for re-election. Yes, it might annoy some top Democrats.

But I can’t imagine any swing voter now saying, “Trump is talking about delaying the election. That settles it. I’m voting for him.”

Here’s what I can imagine: “Wait, what? Trump is talking about delaying the election. That doesn’t sound right.”

(And yes, Trump posed it as a question. But lots of folks won’t see it that way.)

“Constitutionally out of the question“

Where does the Constitution say anything about “Presidential elections”?

Election security. Big bright spotlight. Game the election system this late in the day and you risk delaying the election. Universal Mail-In Voting? Can’t happen. Hence the tweet.
