You go in through the mouth with a special endoscope, down the esophagus, through the stomach, into the duodenum. Then you find where the duct empties into the duodenum. You can see with the scope’s camera up to this point. Flouroscopy is used to locate the stent unless the stent tip protrudes into the duodenum...it may have moved or even fallen out into the duodenum and passed in the stool. Sometimes you can reposition the stent using devices passed through the scope if the stent is not in the right spot. Sometimes you need to replace the stent. If the procedure goes really well it takes 30-45 minutes....if difficult...can take several hours. Patient usually sedated with Diprovan and Versed.

It didn’t say that. The chemotherapy being “resumed” is the biweekly treatment for her cancerous liver lesions.
So she’s still got cancer. Thanks to the MSM, I thought she was cancer-free.
Apparently not so.
She doesn’t have liver cancer. Her pancreatic cancer has spread to her liver. When that happens, a person is very near the end. She will be dead within the next two months.
Ya think she is getting the nonstop “your warranty has expired” calls. /sarc

I never said she ‘took this step first’. I said that is what they do. I don’t doubt even the more exquisite insurance options for Congress, Senate tries to save money and make money.
But at her age they prob do want to go less invasive. She’s a risk alright.
