How many people survive pancreatic cancer?

For all stages of pancreatic cancer, the 5-year survival rate is under 5%. The only reason her's was caught at stage 2 was because she had a follow-up CT scan for her colon cancer.

Once pancreatic cancer advances to stage 4 and spreads to a major organ, it's less than a year; and more likely a few weeks to a few months. If she is getting chemotherapy at Sloan-Kettering every two weeks, you know she is in really bad shape.
