Maybe because he's a realist and understands that he has to play by their rules. Fauci is a media darling and you don't just turn on him unless he's committed a widely reported mistake and all agree he has to go.

That's no excuse, it's reality.

You may want his head on a pike right this very second, but that doesn't mean you're making the correct decision in view of the whole picture.

I. of course, don’t know, but I’ll take a stab:

The media has hyped Fauchi to a position he cannot sustain on his own merit. (A Topps card?!)Trump understands marketing and one of the worst things a brand can do is put forth hype that is then proven to be false. (Like Fauchi’s pitch). The blowback is far more damaging than anything Trump could say or do.

Now we have a team of physicians trying to get the truth out with MSM cancelling them wholesale, to no avail. The docs went viral.

Trump can go about his business as POTUS while everyone sees truth for themselves. It’s almost better for Big Tech and the MSM and the progs in Congress to scream and flail and censor and cancel, while POTUS is mild and uninvolved. In fact, as Trump does nothing, the media, the twatterati and the blogosphere can go wild with speculation. They cannot help themselves. They get to crow about the impotent POTUS and the audience can see for themselves that truth is being suppressed and still no dictatorial response.

The progs WANT a response. The way they keep questioning about DPA is just what they did for vents and testing, so it’s obvious they intend to beat him over the head with it if he does invoke anything. Look how they are spinning the Federal officers in the riot cities. POTUS _has_ to do what he can to restore order, but he can allow the individuals involved in outright fraud, malpractice and malign contempt to hoist themselves on their own and the media’s petards.

Becausi Fauci is held out as a god like person by the media and it would do Trump harm to criticize him to any lg degree. Otherscan do that but not the president.
