I’m probably in the minority here, but I have to say, Pence did a terrible job with this thing. I believe Birx was his creation and the Surgeon General is as well. You might be in the minority, but I’m right there with you. Birx and Fauci info is all over the internet. Pence could have had his lowest-level secretary spend four hours ONE day doing some basic vetting and would’ve found out where these two have their loyalties. And their loyalties AIN’T with Trump.

Not a helpful characterization.

One needs to take extra precautions when the virus flares up in their area.
But only temporarily.

Telling people they have to do these things for a long time is dispiriting and wrong.

They aren't very effective, except against expelled droplets forward, or for coughs/sneezes. Otherwise, you're still putting out tons (figuratively) of breath aerosols (with viri) all around you. Note, the studies for these charts were ONLY on particle filtration, they don;t take into account proper decon, people readjusting, people constantly reusing masks, viral spread around the unsealed edges, and so on.

Long story short, unless you have a fully sealed mask, with the right filtration level, follor proper decon/disposal of biohazards, and are swapping out for a fresh sanitary mask decently often, then you almost might as well just not wear one.
