I don’t think prosecuting Stone is anything to brag about. Sorry. I am no fan of Roger Stone by any stretch, but using Barr’s own words - the investigation of Stone as well as the prosecution were NOT PROPERLY PREDICATED. Had Stone not been an “ally” of Trump he would have never been prosecuted. Period. That is a simple fact.
Barr had to put some distance between himself and Trump and that is how he chose to do it.
