We have a relative like that. We told her Thanksgiving is normal time and place......no politics. She never shows. Oh well. As she ages, childless, and angry....maybe she’ll get it. She is written out of the will by her family she is so irrational, hateful, and disrespectful.
So sorry, that’s very sad about your sister. My husband and his brother are at odds as well. They had a great relationship and were in contact every day. But his brother thinks we are too dumb to know better and feels we have been brainwashed by Fox News. He was relentless in trying to get us to see the light, so my husband stopped responding, and that was the end.
