Source for Steele discredited anti-Trump dossier outed

The shadowy figure who funneled information to Christopher Steele for his notorious election-year dossier is Igor Danchenko, a Ukraine-born, Russian-educated researcher who worked in the U.S. and traveled to Moscow to find supposed dirt on candidate Donald Trump.

Washington lawyer Mark E. Schamel told The New York Times that Mr. Danchenko is his client. “Igor Danchenko has been identified as one of the sources who provided data and analysis,” he said.

A number of online activists had identified Mr. Danchenko, as did Real Clear Investigations.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, released a 60-page declassified FBI report that detailed three interviews with Mr. Danchenko in January 2017. The researcher’s name was omitted, and he was referred to only as Mr. Steele’s “primary sub-source.”

Cybersleuths with the blog I Found the Primary Subsource took tidbits from the heavily redacted document and pieced together enough biographical information to name Mr. Danchenko.

Mr. Danchenko describes himself on his restricted Twitter account as “Russia/Eurasia political & economic research & analysis, energy, due diligence.”

Mr. Danchenko was on the payroll of Mr. Steele’s investigative firm, Orbis Business Intelligence, in London. He also worked at the Brookings Institution. He co-wrote with Fiona Hill a 2010 Brookings paper titled “One Step Forward, Two Steps Back? The Realities of a Rising China and Implications for Russia’s Energy Ambitions.”

Ms. Hill went on to join President Trump’s National Security Council staff as a senior European specialist in 2017. She also testified at his House impeachment hearing. She said she believed Mr. Steele, with whom she once worked while he was a British intelligence officer, was played by Russian disinformation.

Rep. Devin Nunes of California, the ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said on Fox News on Sunday that his staff had begun

Absolutely DISGUSTING. Hillary is about equivalent to a pus-exuding stinking case of pyometra. Or, a pile of highly organic garbage that’s been out in the summer sun for about a week. Your choice.

So...I wonder if he will tell us who paid him to do this... under oath?

Sorry Lucy, I’m not kicking the football anymore.

What I want to see is dozens of indictments and arrests - all the way up to criminal identity fraud aka obama.

Danchenko isn’t the real source. Look at Strobe Talbott and Stefan Halper. Both friends of Bill since Bubba went to Oxford.

The NYT story, of course, was outraged that Danchensko was outed, not that the libs pursued the steaming pile of garbage in the Steele Dossier.

Same old news we already know repackaged.

If no one is indicted, arrested, convicted, and imprisoned does it matter?

Why is not one Republican putting all the evidence together and asking for an investigation or congressional hearing?

The greatest political crime in the history of the United States and no one seems to care.

Abandon all hope.

Mr. Danchenko was on the payroll of Mr. Steele’s investigative firm, Orbis Business Intelligence, in London. He also worked at the Brookings Institution.

Rep. Devin Nunes during a television appearance on Fox News Channel said that “we’ve now expanded our investigation, full-blown investigation into the Brookings Institute.”

The congressman said that the two focuses of the investigation are whether Brookings, a tax exempt entity, had engaged in politics, which Nunes said that it has, and whether the institution, which receives foreign donations, took actions to benefit a foreign government.

"Abandon all hope."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ENOUGH, ALREADY!!!
Since when does a do-nothing noob -- who has been on FR only half as long as POTUS TRUMP has been fighting his uphill battle against the Deep State -- have the authority to issue defeatist edicts?
Take your negativism back to DU -- whence you, obviously, came!
And the same goes for all the rest of you Never-Trumper negativist naysayers...
FR does not need you destroying it.
You can’t ignore the Truth.
When they want people, they conduct raids. They tip off CNN before the raids. They raid their Lawyer’s offices.
They charge people with numerous charges that are not always solid, but they cause the defendants to spend money and they can modify charges as it goes.
They charge peripheral parties to encourage them to flip. They investigate and pressure family members.
They Act.
When nothing is done for a year, it shows they have little interest.
Lois Lerner investigation went on 7 years, they were only concerned with running out the clock and letting interest wane.
The timeline here shows they aren’t interested.
I have no doubt a low level type will be sacrificed, while a whole procession goes free.
Seriously, why?
When Igor Danchenko realized that his bag of lies was doing what it did, why didn't he set the record straight. For his neglect, he should get the firing squad.
When the initial report came out of Trump colluding with the Russians, I immediately decided it meant that Hillary, not Trump, was colluding with the Russians.
Leftists can't stop projecting. Whatever they falsely accuse the right of doing is what they are actually doing.
