Ye gods and egad.

Football on a Sunday afternoon used to be a chance to forget about real life for a few hours. Now they want to slap people in the face with real life for the entire broadcast.

And I can’t even imagine what it will be like for those who watch the “men” on the pregame shows. Covid-this and covid-that, racism-this and racism-that, and did we mention how woke we all are and how woke you should be?

I just don’t think it’s gonna work like they hope. Masks at work, masks at the grocery store, and after all that, on your Sunday football game, “END RACISM” painted on the end line?

No thanks. The only ratings they will get will be from sports bars who have them on just because, and from woke idiots who think this is all just wonderful.

Does anyone know if a sports bar with 24 TVs goes into the ratings as 24 viewers, or can big brother only see it as one, the sports bar account, having the games on? I’ve been curious about that for years.

They don't. Some rating might use DVR data from the TV companies, but I don't think that's very widespread, maybe only internal for companies to determine ad costs. Nielson is what everyone uses, and those tend to be very inaccurate/undercounting. Not just for regular households watching, but bars/vebues are completely ignored.
