I had a modest interest in tennis for a time (early ‘90s), but more for watching the women and John McEnroe throwing his temper tantrums (which was partly for show because he knew the crowd came there to see him pitch one, and would be disappointed if he didn’t). Otherwise, I just was never all that interested in sports. Didn’t really play in school, unless forced to. Preferred watching all other tv shows, movies, soap operas, etc.
I can sympathize, however, with fans of sports watching it be destroyed by the usual suspects (the same folks who destroy everything else). I believed some people got way too wrapped up over their teams and wished they showed that level of passion in stopping the left in the realm of politics. Because many didn’t, now they’re living the consequences of failing to stop the march of evil.

As is every other facet of life: The go along to get along crowd assisted in sowing the seeds of destruction.
Inaction always leads to failure.
